Do you have experience of providing second line application support?

 

Our Senior Application Support Analysts provide Subject Matter Expertise and direction to our Support Analysts, assisting with task assignment, queue state reviews, guidance and undertake delivery of policy / process laid out by the service delivery lead.   • Assist ensuring all work undertaken within the department is correctly logged within the call logging system Ivanti ISM and processed through the lifecycle
  • Assist with ensuring maintenance support task are undertaken by the team including, Antivirus compliance, Security patching, Image build & update and various IT Security functions including user & security group and Active Directory
  • Assist ensuring escalations are reviewed / mitigated, where necessary escalate matters to prevent customer dissatisfaction

Overview

Are you an experienced Risk Analyst looking for a new challenge in a fast moving (re)insurance business?

 

As a key member of the Risk Management Team, the Senior Risk Analyst is expected to assist the Risk Manager with the developing, leading and maintaining an effective risk management framework across the Managing Agency (IQUW Syndicate Management Limited) and with ensuring that Lloyd's and Solvency II requirements are being met.

 

The role requires insurance industry experience of specialist lines in the Lloyd’s market, in a relevant position in one of the following functions: Risk Management, Internal Audit or in a specific Solvency II role.

 

We are currently trailing different patterns of home and office working to determine to optimum working arrangements for the future. During the trial period the classification of this role is Home Primary. Typically this has entailed two days in the office and three days working from home.

 

Reporting to the Risk Manager your primary responsibilities in the role will be:

  • Plan and coordinate the collation of information for the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) report and support the Head of Risk in producing the final report
  • Coordinate Risk and Control Self-assessment, collate and validate risk and controls information from the business, update sections of the Risk Register
  • Coordinate the business to implement effective controls and ensure actions are followed up to address control weaknesses identified
  • Own the Risk Event reporting and maintaining the Risk Event Log. Ensure that root cause analysis has been carried out and follow up the agreed actions
  • Coordinate the annual update of the Risk Appetite Statement; prepare the quarterly monitoring reports, provide challenge of the RAG ratings, agree the actions to improve the ratings
  • Support the Risk Manager in the planning and coordination of the Internal Model Validation process
  • Perform validation of certain components of the Internal Model and draft sections of the Validation report under the guidance of the Risk Manager
  • Provide proactive Risk Management support and advice for major initiatives and projects

    • Design calculation software to calculate Risk Prices and Market prices reflecting agreed expense and profit loadings
    • With IT support, implement pricing software
    • Act as expert adviser to underwriters using the pricing software, adding bespoke features as required
  • Develop strong communication and collaboration with underwriters and Catastrophe Modelling teams to facilitate sharing of best practices

Our Senior Support Analysts provide Subject Matter Expert direction to our Support Analysts, assisting with task assignment, queue state reviews, guidance and undertake delivery of policy / process laid out by the service delivery lead. They also assist with team administration duties, ensure Service Management Functions, Major Incident Management, Business Liaison, Escalation Pathways and Business Communications are undertaken.

 

The location for this role is our Swansea office, we are currently trialling a mix of office and home working patterns at IQUW Group. During the selection process we will discuss indicative home / office patterns.

 

Reporting to the Service Delivery Lead your main responsibilities in the role will be to:

  • Assist with ensuring the open ticket count is kept to a minimum, delivering quality assurance, guiding team KPI’s, ensuring that SLA’s are met and Service Desk telephony operations are delivered efficiently
  • Assist ensuring all work undertaken within the department is correctly logged within the call logging system Ivanti ISM and processed through the lifecycle
  • Assist with ensuring maintenance support task are undertaken by the team including, Antivirus compliance, Security patching, Image build & update and various IT Security functions including user & security group and Active Directory
  • Assist ensuring escalations are reviewed / mitigated, where necessary escalate matters to prevent customer dissatisfaction
  • Produce service management, team dashboards and account performance reports to an agreed schedule or upon request
  • Act as a Senior to participate in on-call & out-of-hours support as needed

Our Syndicate Accountants assist with the preparation, production, reconciliation and submission of Syndicate Financial reporting to a high standard, on a timely basis. Their work spans Quarterly Board packs, Lloyd’s Regulatory Returns including Solvency2 reporting.

Your main responsibilities in the role will to:

  • Prepare and reconcile technical journal entries relating to the Syndicate within documented deadlines
  • Prepare monthly Syndicate P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with the production of monthly and quarterly Syndicate financial reporting in accordance with established timetables
  • Develop a good understanding of dataflows and dependencies to support the population of the GL and financial reporting
  • Document and maintain adequate procedures and controls
  • Assist in the preparation of Lloyd’s returns including QMA, QMB and Solvency II reporting ensuring these are prepared in accordance with Lloyd’s Byelaws
  • Completing early drafts of reporting packs in good time to allow for several layers of internal/external reviews
  • Critically analysing the data in all Lloyd’s Returns prior to submission - by raising queries and incorporating appropriate responses within the accompanying commentary – to pre-empt questions from Lloyd’s and members’ agents

Our Reinsurance Technicians ae part of the Reinsurance Team which sits in our Finance Operations Function in ERS. Our Reinsurance Technicians primary responsibility is to support the Senior Reinsurance Technician in executing the reinsurance strategy, renewal of the reinsurance placement and recovery of reinsurance claims. Reporting to the Senior Reinsurance Technician your main responsibilities in the role will be to:

  • Support the Senior Reinsurance Technician in the placement of reinsurance requirements, delivering detailed MI on underwriting profiles and claims development data. Strong communication with internal stakeholders (Underwriting, Claims, Finance and Actuarial) to ensure all information and messaging is captured and validated
  • Manage reporting, recovery and credit control against all reinsurance asset (Quota Share, XOL, ADC) ensuring service levels and reporting aligns to agreement criteria. Ensure all reinsurance premiums are settled in line with the contracts
  • Maintain ICE Claims, LORS, Xchanging, reinsurance and overseas databases for all related RI / claim processing

  • Support the Reinsurance Manager in the renewal of the ERS’ Corporate Insurance placement requirements (Combined, Cyber, E&O/D&O and Financial Crime)
  • Provide support in the handling and administration of all overseas legacy business, maintaining reserves, liaising with TPAs / solicitors and making settlements as necessary

  • Ensure all database servers are backed up in a way that meets the business’s Recovery Point Objectives (RPO)
  • Test backups to ensure we meet the business Recovery Time Objectives (RTO)
  • Troubleshoot SQL Server service outages as they occur, potentially requiring out of hours working
  • Configure SQL Server monitoring utilities to minimize false alarms
  • Actively monitor the SQL environment
